So today Google released video support in Gmail. How crazy that now I can have free webmail, an RSS reader, online Docs, shared caledars, and video chat. Sure iChat and AIM have done it before... but in your web browser... it's damn good quality too!
I guess I'm slightly encouraged that the "vision of the future" where computers actually help people and you can transfer information from one system to another is really coming true. Wether it's the advent of "cloud" computing, more web services, or companies finally realizing that people don't want to pcitures on their computer and then upload to another website with Aunt Suzie... they want to click "share with others" and pop Aunt Suzie's email address in... It really should be THAT simple.
Oh yea and to rant for 10 seconds about the election. I'm glad it turned out the way it did. (See Change.gov) I'm a bit sad that lately (probably because I'm old now) it seems to be you can either "vote Catholic/Christian" or vote to not keep "buiness as usual". Why does voting for the morally correct thing according to most Catholic/Christian churches mean voting for perpetuation of the slow, war mongering government we have... I guess I could also do like my friend Mike.... or just Mock the Vote
